The recommended dosages of paracetamol are as follows:
For adults and children 16 years of age and older: 500 mg-1 g every 4-6 hours, up to a maximum of 3-4 grams daily.
For children 12-15 years of age: Up to four doses of 480-750 mg every 4-6 hours daily.
For children 10-11 years of age: Up to four doses of 480-500 mg every 4-6 hours daily.
For children 8-9 years of age: Up to four doses of 360-375 mg every 4-6 hours daily.
For children 6-7 years of age: Up to four doses of 240-250 mg every 4-6 hours daily.
For children 4-5 years of age: Up to four doses of 240 mg every 4-6 hours daily.
For children 2-3 years of age: Up to four doses of 180 mg every 4-6 hours daily.
For children 6 months to 1 year of age: Up to four doses of 120 mg every 4-6 hours daily.
For children 3-5 months old: Up to four doses of 60 mg every 4-6 hours daily.
For children older than 2 months after vaccination: 60 mg, may be repeated once after 4-6 hours if necessary.
If necessary you can take a dose of paracetamol every 4-6 hours, which should not exceed a maximum of four times a day. Keep a gap of at least four hours between doses and do not take more than four doses of paracetamol in a 24-hour period or particular day.
